Amir Khwurd
(?-1369)
   Author of Siyar al-auliya, a collection of biographical notices on Chishti Sufis completed during the reign of Firuz Shah Tughlaq (1351-1388). Amir Khwurd's grandfather, Muhammad 'Alawi Kirmani, a merchant hailing from Kirman, came into contact with Shaikh Farid al-Din Ganj-shikar at Ajodhan and became his disciple. After Shaikh Farid's death in 1265, Muhammad 'Alawi became a close friend of Shaikh Nizam al-Din Auliya. Amir Khwurd, who came to India with his grandfather, became a disciple of Nizam al-Din Auliya's successor at Delhi, Nasir al-Din Chiragh Dehli, He died at Delhi in 1368 or 1369.
